As Skyler Williams, junior, met her upperclassmen teammates, she was intimidated joining a varsity team in her freshman year of highschool.
Even though she was scared, Williams said she like the fast pace of the varsity games

Williams said she was frightened by being put in a spot with seniors, but she said they eventually welcomed her with opened arms.

When she was only in first grade, Williams started playing volleyball in the miola leagues.

Even since then, Williams has loved playing.She intends to play till her high school career is over, and maybe even in college. Williams said if she doesn’t end up doing volleyball into college, she said she would love to have the college life.

Williams said her favorite position is setter.

“I’m such a team player and the setters just set it up for everyone to do good,” Williams said. “The new coach really encourages sportsmanship.”

According to Williams, Reed has done good to the team. Williams said Reed is open to learning stuff about the game, and teaching the team new things.

“Reed’s criticism but its coaching criticism.” Williams said.

Williams also said that Reed is extremely positive. Williams said she always has something nice to say, and that has help the team in being successful.

According to Junior Anna Ohlmeier, a teammate of Williams, said that Williams helps with the team positivity. Ohlmeier also said that Williams acts as a leader who encourages the team.

Williams and her newfound family hope to do well together and for the rest of the session.
