Kathy Wulfkuhle, Family and Consumer Science teacher is beginning her education career.
Wulfkuhle said she earned a bachelor’s degree at Emporia and taught for a short period of time before changing to corporate business. After, she said she went back to Emporia to receive her master’s degree in education.
“I loved the youth and decided to step back into teaching,” Wulfkuhle said.
Wulfkuhle said she has had positive experiences in her first few months at the High School.
“They make you feel at home, there are others willing to step in and guide you if you need it,” she said. “Paola is a warm and welcoming place.”
There’s room for improvement and success, especially within the technology standards said Wulfkuhle. She also said technology gives students more options and possibilities for students.
“Although the school is a bit behind in the tech world, the technology we have is accommodated well,” she said. “The key to success for students is to look at their future and work hard toward it. I see potential in students. They know if you put the work in, you get good things out of it.”
