Recently, Baylee Teagarden’s fitness class received DrumFIT. According to the DrumFIT website, DrumFIT is a fitness-based drumming program which combines music and fitness to make exercise fun. The Booster Club helped purchase drumsticks, exercise balls and the stands. Before Spring Break the fitness class tried out DrumFIT. Amanda Rosich, sophomore, said she was apprehensive about DrumFIT before it arrived, but once she tried it out,was excited about it. She said her favorite workout with the DrumFIT is the partner workout because she likes working out with someone by her side.

“I’m happy that the booster club got DrumFIT because it is not only fun, but a good workout. It’s so fun that it distracts me from the workout part,” Rosich said.

From new uniforms for athletes to Student of the Month, Booster Club keeps the school working and the life of students and staff easier and more enjoyable said Principal Phil Bressler.

“Booster Club is a group of people from the community who are dedicated to ensuring that the high school and middle school have the funds necessary to maintain and improve our offerings,” Bressler said.

When staff members have an idea for something new that will help their classroom or their team they go to the booster club.

The first step includes a staff meeting with Booster Club members to tell them why they think their idea would benefit students and the school. Then, booster club members vote to decide what happens next. The funds the booster club donates helps make staff members’ ideas become a reality said Bressler.
