The theater department is preparing for All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, on March 25 and 26.
“This play tells you what happened to your inner child and where it went,” sophomore Bea Pomatto said.
Theater producer, Leslie Coats said the play is based on what people have learned through the years and how much of it ties back to what everyone learned in kindergarten.
“This play is a delight to do,” Coats said. “It seemed like the right play for this particular bunch.”
Pomatto said everyone learns different things in different ways, but what they all know they started learning in kindergarten. Bea said she works in a group that tells stories to make up the play.
All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten is not like the ordinary drama or comedy play; it’s a serious play that makes you think,” Pomatto said.
Pomatto said she has been interested in theater for a long time and would love continuing her career as long as possible.
“When I went to watch play performances when I was younger, I decided to try theater,” Pomatto said.
It was during Pomatto’s eighth grade play, she said she realized she wanted to continue doing theater.
“Last year I wasn’t really involved, so I decided this year to just throw myself out there,” Pomatto said.
Pomatto said she is proud to be in this play and feels it will be one of their best.
“I love being in the productions at Paola,” she said. “Everyone is professional and we have a lot of fun.”
