Madison Bryant, senior, has dreamed of being a labor and delivery nurse since she was a little girl.
“I am going to be dedicated to reaching my future career goals so I can make the little girl I used to be proud,” Bryant said.
Bryant earned her CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) in high school and will attend Neosho Community College where she will obtain her LPN (licensed practical nurse). Bryant put in the extra hours of hard work to reach her future career goals, but also remembered the importance of embracing the high school experience.
For Bryant, high school was about making memories and competing in sports. Bryant’s proudest moments at the high school came from being a part of the basketball and softball team.
“My biggest accomplishments were competing in substate basketball and being softball regional champs my junior year,” Bryant said. “Being able to attend state with my teammates was the highlight of my career at PHS.”
The teammates Bryant played with in high school have turned into lifelong friendships. Bryant said her teammates were her favorite people to be around because they were always there for her through her highs and lows.
Kathy Wulfkuhle, FACS teacher, is another person Bryant had by her side through all the ups and downs.
“I always loved being around Mrs. Wulfkuhle because she was always happy and brought people up. Teachers like Mrs. Wulfkuhle will make me forever cherish the memories and friendships I made at PHS,” Bryant said.
