Senior Spotlight: Bailey Barnes

Senior Spotlight: Bailey Barnes

Emma Behrendt, Reference manager

What is the most memorable thing about PHS?
The most memorable thing about PHS for me is how I made so many new friends in the school. I made friends from different grades that I would not normally talk to.

What is the funniest thing that happened to you at PHS?
I have been thinking about this question and I literally have nothing.

What are your plans after high school?
I will be attending The University of Kansas (KU) to get my B.S. Interior Architecture & Design degree. After four years then I’ll go for another two years to get my Master of Architecture degree.

What teacher left the biggest impact on you?
Gerri is not a teacher at PHS but she is the boys and girls swim coach for our swim team. I was the swim manager for girls season my junior year and I was the swim manager for the boys and girls season my senior year. Every day I would go to swim practice looking forward to seeing Gerri. While the team is warming up or practicing we would talk about what is new in our life. I could literally tell her anything and she would listen and understand and give me feedback. She is the only “teacher” that I told anything about my personal life all four years through my PHS history. I looked up to her soo much.

Who was your greatest motivators/inspiration in high school?
My greatest motivators are my parents. They always wanted the best for me and I wanted to do my best for them.

What do you think your class will be remembered for?
For being the senior class that never finished their HS career off physically.

What is the best thing about PHS?
While you go through the years at PHS you make amazing memories with the workers, teachers, and students there.
