Senior spotlight: Ben Damron
April 7, 2020
Ben Damron has many memories at PHS but one of his top favorites was watching the state championship Football game against Bishop Miege on November 22.
“We were all in the stands going wild and it made me so happy to see the community come together to support the team,” Damron said.
One legacy Damron knows the 2020 class will leave is our work ethic, he said the class may not have been the best in everything but they never failed at giving it their all.
“It’s hard knowing that I won’t see my teachers every day, they were so loving and eager to help me, and I always looked forward to going to school to see them,” Damron said.
Damron said his favorite learning experience would have to be in marketing when they had to create their own business and pitch it to a board of real businesses, owners, and managers.
“It was challenging but it really opened my eyes to everything that goes into making a business,” Damron said.
One thing Damron is doing to pass the time during the stay-at-home order is working more shifts at his job Price Chopper to save money for college.
“After high school is over, my summer plans before I leave for college are working, hanging out with friends, and trying to enjoy my last summer here,” Damron said.
Damron plans to attend K-State University in the fall to get his marketing degree.
“To all my fellow seniors out there, thank you for all the great memories, it wouldn’t have been near as great without all of you, I encourage you to take this opportunity to go chase your dreams relentlessly and be the change that you want to see in this world,” Damron said.
