The movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower, based on the novel by Stephen Chbosky, came out in theaters on Sept. 21.
It tells the story of an awkward, introverted teenager, Charlie, and his high school experience, touching upon subjects such as suicide, abuse, drugs and sexuality according to the IMBD website.
I thought The Perks of Being a Wallflower was perfect in all ways. It teaches the lesson that people need to take all their quirks and insecurities and turn them into a beautiful thing; to embrace being a wallflower.
This movie has changed the way I view life.
One quote from the film, “And in this moment, I swear we were infinite,” particularly hit me hard. It means that we need to hold on to every single moment and every single thing that makes us happy and just let it fulfill us to a point where we can’t feel anything but pure bliss.
I was moved to tears by how purely beautiful everything about this movie was. Logan Lerman and Emma Watson were impeccable in the lead roles.
I give this movie ten thumbs up and recommend it to anyone looking to gain a whole new perspective on life. Definitely one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.
