Since 1984 Paola forensics, has been a part of the league forensics tournament. Some members of the forensics team said they are proud to end as undefeated champions. The league tournament was canceled because of budget issues.

“No team from our league ever finished ahead of us,” said Leslie Coats, sponsor.

Caylin Smith, sophomore, said not having a league tournament anymore is disappointing because Paola does so well. Audrey Reynolds, senior, agrees with Smith and wished there still was a tournament still.

“I’m sad it’s my last year and regret not doing it my freshman year, but I feel motivated to do well at state,” said Reynolds.

Coats said they are going about it to get the League Forensics tournament back at Paola.
