PHS Journalism

Natalie Eppler, Staff writer

Juggling journalism, cross country, track, college algebra, chemistry, advanced biology, choir, 4H and church activities keeps junior Natalie Eppler busy.

“I just try to keep going and make sure I always know what needs to be done. My family keeps me on track and always reminds me when and what needs to get done. I am very thankful for them because I would never be to practice on time if not for them,” she said.

Eppler is surrounded by animals, including a border collie, a beagle, quite a few cats, some chickens and three sheep. Living in the country, she gets to enjoy the outdoors and looks forward to any chance to travel. She loves to vacation and is a big fan of beautiful mountains.

She loves watching her favorite movie, The Pink Panther - not the new ones, the original The Pink Panther. Her favorite book series is The Gallagher Girls, and her favorite TV show is Person of Interest.

While she still has plenty of time to make memories in high school, so far her favorite is last spring’s regional track meet. The team did well, and her reward was ice cream and cookies.

Unfortunately, with good memories, we sometimes have bad ones. Natalie’s most embarrassing moment in school was tumbling down the stairs her sophomore year.

In her spare time, Eppler enjoys spending time with family, this makes having her grandparents right next door quite convenient.

“They make me happy and do a lot of things for me and my brother. They have good advice and are very helpful. They feed us, which is always good. Sometimes, it’s just nice to come home to my grandparents,” she said.

Eppler has not thought far enough ahead to have a plan, however, she knows whatever path she takes she wants it to glorify God. At the end of the day the things with the most importance remain the same to her.

“My family, my friends, and my animals. They are the things that matter the most to me,” Eppler said.
