Powder Puff

November 7th, Paola High kicked it off with the Powder Puff. A tradition held between the junior and senior classes each year.
“It was the most fun I ever had,” said junior cheerleader, Micalib Hoover.
Every year the two show their piers exactly what they are made of. Juniors came out on top this year, breaking the senior’s streak.
“I feel like we did an awesome job. The win was great but the best part was actually getting closer to my class,” said junior Cameron Seck.
The Powder Puff always gets the fans on their feet. Maybe it’s the football… or those cheerleaders in those skirts.
It takes a lot to make the advent to happen. They have to practice, remember the cheers and the plays, plus they have to go out there and give it to the crowd.
“Sometimes we didn’t remember any of the moves,” said Hoover.
The practices went fairly well and the players all got along. They weren’t so hot at first but with time they got their heads in the game, giving the coaches for the juniors a big bump in confidence.
“Overall it was a good time and it was a good class bonding time,” said Seck.
